About Us

Tower Consultants, Inc. was formed in 2005 by Jean Lecordier and Greg Kelish.  TCI is primarily engaged in Television and Radio broadcast tower engineering and project management.  Jean Lecordier previously spent 18 years with Kline Towers of Columbia, SC as their Vice President of Engineering.  Jean has been involved with a vast array of broadcast tower projects across the United States in the past two decades.

Greg Kelish joined Jean in forming TCI following his tenure as Vice President of Operations at SpectraSite Broadcast Group.  The in-depth expertise, knowledge and experience of the principals at TCI has propelled the company to  the forefront of the broadcast tower industry.

Jean-Alain Lecordier

President

Formerly the Vice-President of Engineering with Kline Towers, in Columbia, South Carolina, Jean-Alain Lecordier has over 25 years of structural engineering and project management experience in the broadcast industry.  Jean holds a Masters in Engineering from the University of South Carolina. He has an in-depth knowledge and extensive experience in the design, analysis, fabrication, erection and project management of tall and multi-user broadcast towers.  Jean has been involved with a number of the country’s foremost broadcast tower projects, including the HDTV implementation and seismic retrofitting of Sutro Tower in San Francisco, California.  Jean is active in various industry forums such as the TIA/EIA and NATE and has served on several committees addressing the upcoming TIA/EIA G spec, gin pole, and erection stress standards.

Greg Kelish

Chief Executive Officer

Formerly Vice President of Operations with SpectraSite Broadcast Group, Greg Kelish managed the Stainless Towers engineering and fabrication, program management, logistics and revenue assurance functions for all broadcast tower operations within North America.  SpectraSite designed, fabricated, and erected some of the tallest and largest broadcast tower structures in the world (2000’).  Greg has over 32 years of experience in technical operations with the last 15 years focused on tower systems. Greg designed and constructed a new facility in the late 1990’s to fabricate some of the tallest broadcast towers in the world. He maintains a broad  infrastructure of suppliers and contacts within the industry. Prior to and during his experience in the tower industry, Greg worked for many years in engineering and technical management for the defense electronics industry supplying complex communications and weapons systems to the Department of Defense. Greg holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering and an MBA from California State Polytechnic University.

Jassen Hahn

Sales Manager:

  • 25 year career in the broadcast industry with experience in Field Service, Contract Administration, Engineering & Design, Project Management and Sales.
  • 10 years experience in the tower industry, with emphasis on tall broadcast type towers.  Experience includes managing field service operations and logistics for SpectraSite Broadcast Group.
  • 15 years experience in the broadcast transmitter facilities industry. Experience includes design, engineering, technical field support, and project management while a member of the Harris Corporation.
  • Managed domestic projects for SpectraSite, Harris Corporation Broadcast Division and International Towers Incorporated.  Managed international projects for Harris Corporation in Europe, Middle East and Southeast Asia.
  • Graduate of ITT - Evansville, IN with diploma of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering.

Jeff Leingang

Construction Manager:

  • 25 years experience in tower industry, 8 years broadcast and 17 years in cellular/microwave.
  • 4 years as Sales Support Specialist. Responsibilities included construction/project management, field service project budget creation, and proposal database creation and maintenance.
  • 4 years Director of Costing for SpectraSite Broadcast Group. Responsibilities included estimating cost and establish budgets for construction opportunities, Create and maintain opportunity database, interacted with contractors for foundation construction budgets and development and maintenance of proposal process, procedures and tools.
  • 8 years Product Specialist with Andrew Corporation. Responsibilities included creation of automated Cad program for creation of tower profile drawings, section and material requirements for the Andrew guyed tower series, Oversaw development of automated tower estimating software, Ran preliminary Cell Tower designs for proposal, and was customer contact for information about the Andrew tower product line.
  • 9 years as Detailer/Draftsmen, Cad operator, and software developer.

Rich Morath

Senior Engineer:

  • Former Senior Engineer at Kline Tower and Steel.
  • 40 years total experience in fabricated structural steel industry.
  • 11 years in quality assurance management and nondestructive testing including certification as NDT Level II and III and AWS Certified Welding Inspector.
  • 21 years engineering experience in plate, structural steel and tower design including building design, computer analysis, connection design and tall tower design. 
  • 8 years experience in management, project management and sales.
  • Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering.
  • Degree of Masters of Business Administration.

Jiantao Yu

Senior Engineer:

  • Former In-House Structural Engineer for SpectraSite Broadcast Group
  • 22 years of Structural Engineering design and analysis experience in commercial, industrial and steel tower structures.
  • Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering.
  • Masters of Engineering in Civil Engineering.
  • Passed orals for Doctorate in Engineering.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese- Both oral and written communication.

Ron Dozsa

Project Manager/Engineer:

  • Six years of experience in Project Management focused on Engineering and Construction.
  • Experience in Structural Engineering Analysis of Steel Structures.
  • Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering.

Jeff Altmyer

Tower Engineer:

  • 8 Years of Experience in Structural Engineering for Steel Tower Structures up to 2000’ in height.
  • Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering.
  • Former In-House Structural Engineer for SpectraSite Broadcast Group
  • 8 Years engineering experience in plate, structural steel and tower design including RISA 3D, connection design and tall tower design
  • 4 Years of experience in conducting on-site tower evaluations, tower climbing and tower inspections.

Yevgeny Kabatski

Tower Engineer:

  • 15 years combined experience in Structural and Mechanical Engineering. 
  • 7 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering and Drafting for Maritime ships including Russian Naval Shipyard.
  • 8 years of experience in Structural Engineering and Drafting of Steel Tower Structures up to 2000’ in height.
  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Fluent in English and Russian- Both oral and written communication.

Moses Berry

Structural Detailer:

  • 11 years combined experience in Structural and Mechanical Detailing.
  • Proficient in Auto-Cad, SDS, SDS 2, Tekla, A-Steel, Architectural Desktop, Inventor, MathCad
  • Former Chemical Operations Specialist in the Unites States Army Reserve
  • Experienced CNC Machine Operator

Cheryl Brock

Business Manager:

  • 12 years combined experience in Business Operations.
  • 5 years experience in manufacturing facility operations, including Facilities Management, Human Resource Management, Accounting, Safety Coordinator, Operations Management support and Contract Documentation.
  • 3 years experience in Business and  Facilities management of multiple offices, including Finance and Accounting, Human Resource and Personnel Management, Marketing Coordination and responsible for all general business operations management.
  • Currently attending college pursuing Bachelors of Science in Business Administration.

From analysis and inspection to modification and new tower development, TCI has the internal resources and the depth of experience to manage external vendors in any project.
